Demetrios Tzavaras is a visual communication designer with a master’s degree from Goldsmiths University of London, in the field of Visual Communication and Graphic Theory (Goldsmiths University, Ma Design Futures ) and a graduate of Bachelor of Arts from London Guildhall University (Metrolpolitan University), under the diploma title BA Design Studies.

He was a founding member of the award-winning creative agency “Poor Designers”, and presently is the founder of the company deworks.co. He has collaborated with advertising companies, creative and architectural agencies such as: Saatchi & Saatchi, Newton, Ant1 Network, Mad Channel, Amuse, Realize, iocarydi.com.

Demetrios has a 20 + years of experience in the areas of branding, packaging, corporate identity and logotype design. In organization management and overall supervision of challenging multimedia, visual identity, advertising and promotion of cultural events, products projects and ideas. Also, he has experience in overseeing production of book, editorial and packaging, products as well as promotional and way finding, signage and retail environments and materials.

His works have been awarded in national and international competitions and institutions. One of the major international awards, was in the competition for the production of cultural products and applications of the Archaeological Resources Fund (TAP), where he received the 2nd prize, for the applications for the promotion of Greek culture and museums.
The award-winning designs and product proposals, went into production and are currently on display and sold in all the museum shops of ancient sites throughout Greece.

- Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, Crete
- Archaeological site of Sounio, Athens

- Palace of the Grand Master, RhodesAlso in 2020, at the competition for the promotion of the Municipality of Heraklion as a tourist destination, organized by Diazoma association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Heraklion, he was awarded for his creative proposal on the design of logotype and visual identity of the Municipality and its tourist applications.

The most recent award, was in November 2022 where his proposals were awarded the 3rd place award for the Inter- national Competition for the cultural destination branding of “The Attica Trilogy: Eleusina - Athens - Lavrion” by the Diazoma association.
